Galari-River Arts Festival

Galari-River Arts Festival

Starts: Saturday, 10 August 2024
Ends: Saturday, 10 August 2024
The Galari-River Arts Festival is returning to Forbes; with the 2024 theme "Ripple". On the shores of Lake Forbes, send out ripples of creativity and positivity into the community through the arts. Galari-River Arts Festival is a chance for everyone to get involved in workshops, from the community mural with Cheree Stokes, The River Arts Community Choir, Lantern making, and a healing space featuring Yoga, Meditation, Sound Healing and more. Enjoy a wander through the extensive artisan stalls from all over the region. Featuring some amazing music this year, inlcuding “Lolo Lovina” from Sydney, who will be towing their Caravan (stage) into town, especially for the day. Also performing will be the high-energy Rockabilly trio “Felix Albert and the Gentlemanly Two”, Nerida Cuddy and Adam Kerezsy, a fish biologist and musician who travels upstream and downstream of the Garlari (Lachlan River), he will be present a set of his original music inspired by life on the great river, and presenting an insightful talk about, fish, people and communities of the Galari, from the mountains to the swamp. The finale of every festival is the beloved lantern parade. Come and relax in country hospitality alongside beautiful Lake Forbes.
