Floating Land: Escape Making

Floating Land: Escape Making

Starts: Sunday, 29 June 2025
Ends: Sunday, 27 July 2025
Floating Land is one of Noosa’s most significant and iconic events, providing free entry to all ages. The first environmental art event program of its kind in Australia (Creative Territories), the biennial event features temporary sculptural installations in nature by acclaimed local, national, and international artists. Marking the 13th iteration since 2001, the Floating Land 2025 event will have a presence across multiple sites within the Noosa Region. The title of the 2025 Biennale is Floating Land: Escape Making. As suggested in the title, it takes on the notion that the world is at a tipping point and the idea of abandoning the way we currently live has to be a serious consideration. For some, that might mean changing what we do or how we do it in order to preserve a way of life. For others, it might literally be about making an escape to somewhere else. Entry to the event is free. For more information including the event program, please visit the Floating Land website.
