Fiennes Leadership Challenge

Fiennes Leadership Challenge

Starts: Thursday, 11 July 2024
Ends: Friday, 19 July 2024
The 2024 Fiennes Leadership Challenge for Emerging Leaders is open to young leaders from 18-30 years old who are looking to increase their leadership capacity. Ranulph Fiennes is touted by the Guinness Book of Records as the world's 'greatest living explorer', and has partnered with Outback to provide a 19-day program beginning and ending in Broome in Western Australia for young people. This crucible learning experience includes camping, abseiling, kayaking and trekking in one of the world's most beautiful and harsh environments. All participants will receive 6 months of mentoring and 12 months of online support and further training in conflict management, negotiation, and be a part of the Outback community. The program has been based on extensive experience providing experiential leadership training to international paramilitary organisations, including the prestigious Gurkha Contingent of the Singapore Police. They are looking to create highly effective future leaders, and as such, they are offering this opportunity to emerging leaders who already have a strong commitment to their community and creating positive change in their communities and the world. They do not need to be physically fit (though that will help with fatigue), and the program is not biased towards fitness, gender, culture or religion. Places are limited to 21 individuals from ages 18-30.
