In Joy's words "This exhibition covers a few subjects including my recent move to Ballarat and fascination with Lake Wendouree. Living close by and visiting most days I am intrigued by the moods of the lake, different colours of the sky, water, trees and of course the birdlife, swans in particular. My work has covered a lot of subject matters, I tend to work with things/images that nag at me and will not leave me alone until woven. Whether it is landscapes, a collection of jugs, or vegetables and fruits I have grown my garden. My chosen medium to work in is woven tapestry, a process which can be quite slow and technical, but for me is very calming and enjoyable - mostly". The Old Butchers Shop Gallery is a place to show the diversity and talent of Ballarat artists, with a different artist exhibiting each month.
