Ella Hooper

Starts: Saturday, 25 May 2024
Ends: Saturday, 25 May 2024
A live concert with award-winning singer - songwriter Ella Hooper. Best known for her work in rock band Killing Heidi, Ella is now a flourishing solo artist who releases lyric driven country, folk and Americana. Joining her on guitar, dobro, banjo and harmonica is multi-instrument Michael Hubbard (The Blue Bottles, Eagle and the Worm). Opening the show is critically acclaimed singer songwriter, Melody Pool. Hailing from Kurri Kurri NSW, Melody has captured the hearts of discerning listeners both in Australia and overseas, touring with luminaries like the Milk Carton Kids and The Eagles. As Melody approaches the release of her greatly anticipated third album, she will join Ella for the entire tour. As Ella and Melody are longtime collaborators and friends, they revel in the chance to bring to the stage the heart and soul of their connection. In 'Small Town Temple', Ella delves into rich emotional territories connected to her family, hometown and her childhood. These same themes are weaved together by Ella throughout the show as narrative, telling her sometimes funny, sometimes touching stories in between the songs, making it an intimate, up close and personal experience.
