Enhance your understanding and appreciation of South Australian plant life in this guided drawing workshop led by visual artist Louise Flaherty. This creative exploration into native botanicals will involve an introduction to a range of native plants and guidance on drawing and painting individual plants using white ink on black paper; with participants producing a large-scale collaborative drawing as well as an individual drawing to take home. Participants will also receive two native tubestock plants to take home supplied by Barossa Bushgardens, a community nursery and resource centre based on a seven-hectare site which is home to about 130 of the 400+ species of plants that can be found in the Barossa region. This beginner-friendly, age-inclusive workshop is suitable for participants 10 years of age and over - participants under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult participant (one booking per participant). No prior experience is required and all materials will be supplied.
