The Darling Downs Heavy Horse Festival is a two day celebration of all the breeds of draught horses, the roles they played in the development of the Downs and their growing popularity as a pleasure horse today. An immersive and unique experience that captivates visitors, young and old! There's plenty to see with Working Horses and a Working Bullock Team alongside old trades and heritage demonstrations such as Wheelwrighting, Horse works, Ploughing and Blacksmithing as well as local artisans, hand crafts, breed displays, market stalls and food trucks.
