Join Adelaide-based paper artist and printmaker Ellen Schlobohm in this playful and hands-on introduction to cyanotype printmaking, a slow-reacting photographic print process that involves exposing paper coated with UV-sensitive materials to ultraviolet light to produce a cyan-blue print. Students will be invited to enjoy a slower process of making and connect to nature; Ellen will guide participants through the use of plant material in the cyanotype printing process to produce their designs, how to consider composition of positive and negative space and different methods to achieve various textures and effects in their finished print.
