Create at Blackwattle - Learn to Spin Workshop

Starts: Saturday, 13 July 2024
Ends: Saturday, 13 July 2024
Join Blackwattle and spinner extraordinaire, Deborah Everson White, at Blackwattle alpaca farm in Murrumbateman for this fascinating and informative fibre-spinning workshop. This seven-hour Create atBlackwattle session is designed to help you develop the knowledge, technical skills and confidence you need to spin fibre into your own, totally unique yarn! In a very hands-on and practical workshop, you will use your newly mastered techniques to make your very own skein of hand-spun yarn for knitting, crocheting or weaving into something fabulous! The session also includes morning tea, coffee and an opportunity to join them after the session for a complimentary alpaca hand-feeding experience (weather permitting). To participate in this workshop you will need a functioning spinning wheel. If you are bringing a wheel with you, please ensure it has been serviced and is in full working condition. If you would like to participate in the workshop but do not have a spinning wheel at your disposal, there are a maximum of four wheels available to rent for the workshop.
