Chiaroscuro: Light and Dark

Chiaroscuro: Light and Dark

Starts: Saturday, 10 August 2024
Ends: Saturday, 10 August 2024
In the art world, chiaroscuro (Italian) is the use of strong contrasts between light and dark. Join Rowly Milhinch, one of Rutherglen’s most contemporary winemakers, for an intimate wine dinner at Grace Bar and Eatery themed around the region’s flagship varietals – Durif and Muscat – through the lens of chiaroscuro. If you thought this special dinner would be all big reds and sticky fortified (given the grape varieties in focus), guess again. Without giving too much away, the first three courses will be chilled wines, with a very balanced but unexpected wine journey. True to Scion form. Chef Matthieu Miller will dish up a five-course set menu riffing on this theme to bring diners an immersive experience that’s not your run-of-the-mill wine dinner. Strictly limited to 43 guests! Maximum table size of six. This event is proudly part of Rutherglen's Dark Side of Wine festival. Allergies must be advised upon booking. Please note this may vary your overall experience of this concept dinner. Enquiries: Erica at Grace via the phone number.
