Carols in Town Park

Carols in Town Park

Starts: Sunday, 15 December 2024
Ends: Sunday, 15 December 2024
Carols in Town Park is a large event which celebrates Christmas and the community. Community activities are an important ingredient in “building community.” Christmas and the Salvation Army are synonymous in Australia, with many people encountering the Salvo band playing Christmas carols in shopping centres or the streets spreading the joy of Christmas across Australia. Since the early 2000’s the Tuggeranong Salvation Army has organised a community Christmas event in Tuggeranong, the event started small and in 2007 it commenced in Tuggeranong Town Park. For this year's event, the entertainment will include some low-key children’s activities, a sausage sizzle and community Carols. Singing led by the Salvation Army Brass Band accompanied by local vocalist Amber Nicolls.
