Brahms: The Symphonies

Brahms: The Symphonies

Starts: Saturday, 24 May 2025
Ends: Saturday, 31 May 2025
This year, the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra’s annual immersive concert series celebrates the four symphonies of Johannes Brahms conducted by Chief Conductor, Mark Wigglesworth. Full of drama, romance, poetry, and passion, these works are a pinnacle of western civilisation and the chance to hear them all together is as special as it is rare. The great British pianist Sir Stephen Hough joins us to perform concertos by Beethoven, Mendelssohn, and Grieg, before unveiling the Australian premiere of his very own piano concerto, the world of yesterday. Be part of what promises to be an extraordinary musical odyssey.
