Our popular annual Big Day of Science at QVMAG offers endless opportunity for discovery - unravelling the mysteries of the universe through interactive exhibits, workshops, and science-themed activities. Join us as the Museum at Inveresk becomes a gateway to discovery and exploration on Saturday 10 August, with activities for all ages to delve into this year’s Science Week theme: Species Survival – More than just sustainability. 2024 welcomes: - Live zoo tours with Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary in the Nuala O’Flaherty Auditorium - Live demonstrations with Osiris, a very friendly Coastal Carpet Python from the Serpentarium Reptile Park - Interactive play spaces with the Sustainability Learning Centre - The beloved Make It Place craft station where you’ll unleash your creativity - New feature films in the Launceston Planetarium - Interactive workshops with Tasmania’s Mobile Antarctic Classroom, where you’ll learn about animal species and climate change, alongside playing with a live snow machine! Join the celebrations and let your imagination soar during Science Week 2024 at QVMAG.
