Join artist Bernard Ollis OAM as he guides you through a creative artmaking workshop, inspired by his exhibition Snakes and Ladders. In this three-hour workshop artist Bernard Ollis OAM will guide participants in creating their own artwork using oil pastels. Experiment in colour and composition using the exhibition Snakes and Ladders as inspiration. Bernard Ollis OAM is a British-born Australian artist with a career spanning over four decades. His exhibition Snakes and Ladders explores the imagined world within which he inhabits; a world of fears and psychological threats, of 'other spaces'. Excellent professional quality art materials will be supplied, but you are welcome to bring your own. No prior experience is required and the workshop is suitable for ages 16 and over. What to bring: Art materials are supplied, however, if you have your own or wish to purchase they recommend the following. Paper: Good quality 200 gsm (minimum) hot-pressed white. 50 x 40 cm (minimum) Oil Pastels: Good quality (recommended Caran D'ache or Sennelier or similar) Cleaning rags What to wear: Please wear closed shoes and warm clothes.
