Autumn Silversmithing

Autumn Silversmithing

Starts: Saturday, 11 May 2024
Ends: Saturday, 11 May 2024
Autumn is one of the most beautiful times to visit the NSW New England town of Glen Innes. While you're here, learn the basics of the silver-working process with Richard Moon of The Makers Shed. Bring a design and learn how to make it a reality. You'll learn to hand-cut sterling silver and/or copper, solder and/or cold-connect it, or work with techniques such as fold-forming or bezel-setting. To finish, you'll polish up your piece and can wear it home! The cost includes enough sterling silver and copper for one ring, pendant, brooch or pair of earrings; and a limited selection of raw materials and stones: vintage linoleum, leather, moonstones, freshwater pearls, etc. Design and make something special!

COMMON TIMES

New to Common Times? Here's our Quick Start Guide to help you.

Common Times acknowledges the traditional owners, first storytellers and custodians of the land we live on. We pay our respects to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and their ongoing connection to land, sea, and community. Their sovereignty was never ceded.
