ASO at UKARIA

Starts: Saturday, 29 March 2025
Ends: Saturday, 29 March 2025
Against a dusky bush backdrop, the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra brings to the unique and intimate stage of UKARIA three classics, starting with an elegant Mozart serenade for winds made famous in Peter Shaffer’s epic film Amadeus. Wagner is best known for his boisterous brass and grand operas, so audience may feel surprised by the sweetness of his oboe melodies andmellow strings in the tender Siegfried Idyll. Then Strauss inspires merriment through runaway flutes and cheeky horns in a musical tale about a medieval prankster. UKARIA is perched on the hillside of the Ngeringa property in the picturesque Adelaide Hills just outside Mount Barker.
