All The Things I Hate About You

All The Things I Hate About You

Starts: Wednesday, 29 May 2024
Ends: Friday, 31 May 2024
Presented by Launceston Youth Theatre Ensemble’s Riverside Senior Company, this performance features actors aged 14-18 years. Combining the original script and the movie transcript, updated for the stage and with an Australian flavour, this is an enjoyable teenage romance full of fun and laughter that will appeal to everyone. Loosely based on Shakespeare’s The Taming of the Shrew, All the Things I Hate about You tells the story of the Stratford sisters, Bianca, who is perky and popular and Kat, who is headstrong and hated. Dad won’t let Bianca date until Kat does and after newcomer Cameron falls for Bianca, the search is on for the guy who is crazy enough to take on the job of ‘taming the shrew’.
