27 Club

Starts: Friday, 10 May 2024
Ends: Friday, 10 May 2024
Rock music is loaded with talented and incredibly influential musicians whose lives were tragically cut short. Curiously, a high number of these musicians died at the age of 27 – these have collectively become known as the ’27 Club.’ This live rockumentary features music and stories from the likes of Joplin, Winehouse, Cobain, Morrison, and Hendrix, each the voice of their generation. Inspired by these legendary artists, 27 CLUB was created. After wowing audiences across the country, and winning Adelaide Fringe's 'Best Music Award' (2021), the infamous band is forming once again to rock the Shoalhaven in 2024. This live rockumentary features music and stories from the likes of Joplin, Winehouse, Cobain, Morrison, and Hendrix, each the voice of their generation. Saluting the fated members of the ‘27 Club’ will be Australian rock icons Sarah McLeod (The Superjesus) and Kevin Mitchell (Jebediah, Bob Evans) with Carla Lippis (Mondo Psycho) and Dusty Lee Stephensen (Wanderers). Come as you are to this iconic celebration of the legends who will forever be 27 and the legacy they left behind.
