Wish You Were Here: Kellie O'Dempsey

Wish You Were Here: Kellie O'Dempsey

Starts: Tuesday, 27 July 2021
Ends: Sunday, 29 August 2021
Wish you were here is an uncanny sideshow world of uncertainty where domestic objects collide with external and familiar landscapes as oddball and absurdist beings travel nowhere as if stuck in a behavioural loop. An immersive installation of collaged works on paper, projected animations and Augmented reality (AR) Wish you were here fumbles for some sign of progress and connection. Through repetitive rhythm and monotonous loops, non-specific locations in an unspecified time and no known destination. Representational and abstract forms gently smash together like tectonic plates making ground. The outside (the physical) and inside (psychological) blend as the everchanging moving world goes nowhere.

COMMON TIMES

New to Common Times? Here's our Quick Start Guide to help you.

Common Times acknowledges the traditional owners, first storytellers and custodians of the land we live on. We pay our respects to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and their ongoing connection to land, sea, and community. Their sovereignty was never ceded.
