Starts: Saturday, 01 January 2022
Ends: Saturday, 01 January 2022
Sydney New Year’s Eve will be an opportunity for locals and the world to see Sydney shine. You’ll be able to attend a vantage point near the harbour this year, but some things will be different. Tickets are essential to attend many vantage points, please make sure to visit Sydney New Year's Eve website to ensure you’re familiar with what you can and can’t bring into vantage points, opening times and what services are available. You’re encouraged to visit a local restaurant, bar or café before making your way to a vantage point as some will not have food for sale. There will be an 8-minute Welcome to Country firework display at 9pm curated by first nations artist Black Douglas. At midnight there will be a 12-minute display that will mark the close of 2021 and celebrate the start of 2022. There are many ways to experience Sydney New Year's eve: If you plan to party at home, you can See Sydney Shine on TV or online. ABC will broadcast live from Sydney Harbour at 8.30pm.
