SALA 2022 - How to stand out in a crowd

Starts: Saturday, 06 August 2022
Ends: Saturday, 13 August 2022
A creative collection of vintage inspired outfits with a 2000s twist from the next generation of talented fashion designers emerging from TAFE SA. View the exhibition and even try on the outfits using an innovative Virtual Reality Mirror at Adelaide's exciting new studio and retail space for emerging South Australian fashion designers - Fashion Est. 10 Students from the Applied Fashion Design and Merchandising course at TAFE SA were given a design brief to create a retro or vintage inspired outfit with a 2000’s twist. The outfits were designed to stand out from the crowd on an outing, with creative details such as delicate pleating, high powered 80s shoulders or some shot taffeta. The students put all their skills learnt so far into practice, with many including accessories such as jewellery and bags to complete their overall look. How will these creative outfits look on you? Acknowledging: Jada Allevi, Danielle Cinnamea, Jayde Fiorentino, Indiana Heggie, Luis Hibbert, Saliha Karatas, Nijole Lloyd, Janyne Pereira Dos Santos, Serena Rathjen, Boadicea Salter, Aurelie Sowerbutts, Morgan Thomas
