Rouse Hill Psychedelia

Rouse Hill Psychedelia

Starts: Friday, 24 June 2022
Ends: Saturday, 25 June 2022
Experience Rouse Hill Psychedelia, a new experimental arts event transforming Rouse Hill Estate into a world of colour, light and sound. This psychedelic adventure is inspired by the radical musical ideas and abstract art of John Terry, a descendant of the Rouse family, who created immersive performances in the mid-1960s. Featuring an eclectic mix of electronic and experimental music acts, using both contemporary and retro technology (a nod to John Terry’s work), artists will respond creatively to the rural landscape of the property to create an unforgettable and sensory experience for all visitors. Over two nights, discover new experimental music and sound art, see Rouse Hill Estate illuminated by lights and projections, grab a bite to eat from gourmet food trucks and enjoy drinks from the pop-up bar. Artist line-up: Enjoy performances by experimental music and sound artists from Greater Sydney and beyond. More artists still to be announced. Friday 24 June, 6pm–10pm: Jon Rose (Experimental Violin and film) Jaslyn Robertson (Industrial Analogue Synths) Sumn Conduit (Modular Synth and Voice) Damian Barbeler & Paul Mac (Experimental Music Art Films) Thrum III (Classical Experimental Art Music) Dahyo Lloyd & Emily Yali (Choreography and Noise Music Installation) Saturday 25 June, 4pm–10pm: flower boy (Alt Electronica) dnka+zil (Sounds with Everyday Objects) Madame Lark, Christine Johnson (Comedy performance art) Damian Barbeler & Paul Mac (Experimental Music Art Films)
