ORBIT

Starts: Friday, 01 July 2022
Ends: Sunday, 31 July 2022
A captivating audio-visual installation inviting audiences to experience a cacophony of cosmic sound inspired by the orbital cycles of our solar system. Every 365 days, we complete another cycle through space - following an invisible line around the brightest star in the sky. Imagine yourself at the center of our solar system, conducting an orchestra of matter that surrounds you - a true symphony of the stars. Orbit acts as an abstracted form of orrery, imagining our neighbouring planets as layers of looping sound, locked in a celestial dance, endlessly looping around the sun. Entry is included with the price of admission for Electric Playground. The work will be housed in a pop-up exhibition space as part of BASE CAMP in Tarntanyangga / Victoria Square this July. Experience it at Illuminate Adelaide 2022.
