Orange Winter Fire Festival

Orange Winter Fire Festival

Starts: Saturday, 06 August 2022, 12:00 am
Ends: Sunday, 14 August 2022, 12:00 am
A stillness descends on the region as the landscape rests, though doesn't idle. Frosted mornings and sprinklings of snow are followed by bright sunshine days that filter crisp mountain air. Produce goes to ground and hearty vegetables fill our bowls, meats crisp and crackle over fire pits, as we sip red wine around bonfires, sharing stories and laughter with friends and strangers under starry crystal clear skies during the annual Winter Fire Festival. Based on the Australian ‘cracker night’ bonfire tradition the Winter Fire Festival celebrates thecountry lifestyle. Festivities centre around bonfires at wineries and orchards. Food is produced/served from open fire pits, BBQ spits with whole beast rotisseries, mobile wood fire ovens and gourmet food trucks serve char-grilled feasts paired with wines including mulled wines. Where possible they look to include Indigenous content to the festival specifically Aboriginal astronomy and land care. They look forward to welcoming you to venture out and nestle in this winter.
