Meet Me In a Dark Cool Place

Meet Me In a Dark Cool Place

Starts: Friday, 24 June 2022
Ends: Saturday, 10 September 2022
Coinciding with the Winter Solstice, Meet Me in a Dark Cool Place is a celebration of community, art and culture. Following Charlie’s sell-out 2021 exhibition Cocoon at Kerri Greens Winery in Red Hill, his new works include his second series of paired Cocoons — an annual collection of beautiful natural abstract artworks. Although stories in themselves told through colour and texture, these unique paintings represent the things we can create and contribute after a state of reflection or hibernation. The exhibition continues until 10 July. Friday 24 June: Join in for opening drinks for the exhibition of one the Mornington Peninsula’s most exciting artist’s, Charlie Ryan and his ’22’ Collection. The evening includes a special live performance by Northern Rivers based musician Boats. Saturday 25 June: Kick-off the first day of School Holidays with Pottery Workshops for the Kids, a Smoking Ceremony with the Bunurong Land Council, special live performances by musicians Boats and Loz Morris, with DJ Blind Benny. Plus there will be a bar and food. Sunday 26 June: Come down to view the exhibition and meet the artist. About Stoker Studio: Stoker Studio is a space for community, friends and good folk to gather, connect and explore their creative side in a welcoming and supportive environment.
