The City of Greater Bendigo is pleased to present the The Way Ahead - Interculturalism and the power of Intercultural Ambassadors forum.

Our key note speaker for the day is well known cross-cultural consultant, media identity and the inaugural Ambassador for Women of Colour Australia - Tasneem Chopra OAM.

The event will also feature a panel of experienced multicultural and community leaders, including:

• Yvon Davis, former Multicultural Ambassador at the City of Ballarat, a current Intercultural Advisor and part of Ballarat’s Intercultural Services team.

• Sonia Di Mezza, Chief Executive Officer from Loddon Campaspe Multicultural Services – Interculturalism Human Rights

• Kaye Graves, Team Manager Cultural Diversity and Relationships, Bendigo Community Health Services

• Bruno Spandonide, City of Greater Bendigo Intercultural Ambassador

• Tasneem Chopra, Cross-cultural Consultant

This is a free event with lunch and introductory talk by Curator of the Soul Fury exhibition at the Bendigo Art Gallery included. If you have any special dietary requirements or any questions, please contact Julie Andrews at j.andrews@bendigo.vic.gov.au.

However, as numbers are limited, bookings are essential.

The City of Greater Bendigo commits to supporting any public health investigations, and support any required actions requested by public health officials.

• Each attendee is asked to do a symptom self-assessment prior to leaving home and not attend if they are unwell or have been instructed to isolate or quarantine.

• Attendees must maintain at least 1.5m physical distance between those from other groups at all times.

• To minimize movement, attendees must stay within their allocated spaces or seats where practical.

• Requirements for face covering, observe cough etiquette and personal hygiene measures.


The following is our COVIDSafe plan.

Proof of COVID-19 vaccination status is required. Visitors must have received both COVID-19 vaccinations and provide verification of their vaccination status to enter the Gallery.

Acceptable proof of vaccination status (with proof of ID) includes:

• COVID-19 Digital Certificate uploaded to the Services Victoria app.

• COVID-19 Digital Certificate uploaded to phone wallet

• Official Australian Immunisation Register certificate

• Printed COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate

• Medical exemption with valid, original letter signed and issued by a specified medical practitioner class ID
