Commencing at an historic Lutheran church, the words of Scripture above the altar are in old German. The language reveals a time long passed when services were conducted in Prussian (then German) before war changed it all. This event starts by sharing the story of the settlers whose story is based on their conviction and faith. A short walk takes us to Paech’s Barn to enjoy a hot beverage with scones, jam and cream. The path is formed but there are moderate inclines. The builder, Faehrmann’s contruction of the barn and its usage will be explained. Next, a visit to the new Beerenberg Visitor Experience Centre and History wall. At the conclusion of the tour you’ll receive a small gift from the Paech family and finish the tour here to explore further at your leisure.
