Follow Me Home

Starts: Saturday, 21 August 2021
Ends: Saturday, 21 August 2021
Stories with heart, honesty and humanity Follow Me Home is an insightful new theatre production by award-winning playwright Lewis Treston. Presented as a series of vignettes, the play reveals the real stories of a group of extraordinarily strong, resilient and courageous young people from across Australia. Telling the truth, being honest and sharing your story takes guts. Real guts. How do you tell your friend she can’t sleep over anymore? Can you help a parent when she’s lost all hope? How can you strive for independence when the system is working against you? What if just being honest means you’re out on the street? Inspired by the real-life stories shared by homeless people across NSW, this through-provoking work from Australian Theatre for Young People (ATYP) is a must-see for audiences aged 14 and over. Four talented young actors take on multiple roles in a fast-paced show that will leave audiences with a shift in perspective, a little more compassion and a deeper understanding of the world around them.
