Let’s sew some electronics! In this course, you will learn about electronic circuits, wearable technology and interaction design through a series of fun craft projects.  Create an embroidery that lights up, sew a bracelet or necklace that changes with movements, and make creative projects that react to light, temperature and movement.  Over a series of four workshops, you will gain an understanding of how to create wearable technologies. This is an introductory course and no previous experience in electronics or sewing is required. In this course you will: Gain an understanding of basic electronics circuits, including using LEDs and sensors. Get an introduction to programming concepts Learn about different sensing technology Sew your own electronic circuits. Create a range of projects that combine electronics and craft. Have fun learning about soft circuitry and fashion technology. All materials are included in the ticket price. This course is for marginalised genders. They encourage people of all skill levels and experiences to apply. Applications are open until the 10th of May and we will confirm the participants by the 17th of May This project is supported by the Creative Sparks Fund. The Creative Sparks Fund is a partnership between the Queensland Government and Brisbane City Council to support local arts and culture in Brisbane
