Immerse yourself in a multi-layered collaboration between Darwin Symphony Orchestra and vibrant local dance company SLIDE Youth Dance Theatre. Featuring excerpts from beloved film scores, including Bernard Hermann’s Psycho Suite and compositions by Philip Glass, this event pairs these works with specially choreographed dance pieces performed live with the orchestra. This innovative collaboration will be followed by Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition. Inspired by the paintings of Viktor Hartmann, Mussorgsky’s much-loved work concludes an evening celebrating artistic inspiration and connection.
