The Castlemaine Documentary Festival – now in it’s eighth year - runs over a single weekend in mid-winter at the iconic Theatre Royal Castlemaine, mainland Australia’s oldest continuously operating cinema, in central Victoria. In this intimate, “real-world” setting, they celebrate diversity and profile the important issues of our time, from the local to the global. The selection of films showcase fascinating worlds populated by fascinating characters, live and broadcast Q&A sessions and discussions to discover the story behind the story.
