An exhibition presented by Redland Art Gallery in partnership with Bruce Heiser Projects, Bill Yaxley: Lamb Island will highlight recent RAG Collection acquisition, Backyard Lamb Island. This artwork employs larrikinism, storytelling and a raw approach to painting, typical of Yaxley’s body of work over his significant career. Yaxley is captivated by his surrounds, and uses colour, texture, movement and humour as devices to perfectly capture the idyllic scenes of Redland Coast’s Lamb Island.
