In 2022, the Horsham Rural City Band is celebrating 150 years of service to the local community. Traditionally, the City Band has been for ‘brass’ instruments, but now, with the addition of flutes, clarinets, saxophones and an expanded percussion section, a true concert band has been formed. As a part of the celebrations, you’re invited to join them, at the Horsham Town Hall, for the Big Band Bash Variety Concert. Supporting the Band will be the Red Hot Marmas (Murtoa Community Choir) and the young people from the HRCB Development Program. The special guest for the Concert will be Wilbur Wilde, saxophonist and television personality. Wilbur is best known for his role on ‘Hey Hey it’s Saturday’ and playing with ‘Ol’55 and Joe Camilleri. Wilbur will be leading three workshops for the musicians in the morning and then performing in the concert on Sunday afternoon The Concert will support the Wimmera Base Hospital.
