The team that brought you Songs & Sonnets are back with a sumptuous evening of Sondheim songs in a tribute to language and lyrics. Enjoy an evening of the highest highs and the lowest lows with an exploration of poetry by Elizabeth Barrett Browning, Shakespeare and Emily Dickinson alongside the music of Sondheim. A cast of four accompanied by worldclass pianist Carl Raffety on a grand piano will fill Canberra’s newest theatre with sounds in poetic and sung form. The plight of the performer, personal stories, confessions and love triangles are peppered among songs from Passion, Follies, Company, A Little Night Music, Into the Woods, Merrily We Roll Along and Sunday in the Park with George. Running time: 2 hours including interval
