15th National Over 60's Cricket Championships

The 15th National Over 60's Cricket Championships will be held on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland from 12 to 18 September. According to Veterans Cricket Australia, this event will feature 40 Over 60's teams from all States of Australia, all vying for the honour of winning their Divisional Championship after a series of three matches culminating in the final between the top two teams in each Division on the fourth day. Matches will be played at the major cricket grounds across the Sunshine Coast. Matches will be of 45 overs for each innings. South Australia who were Division 1 winners will be again trying to maintain their exceptional form and keep their hands on the coveted silverware. All teams will stay at various accommodation centres from Coolum to Caloundra for six days. It will be an exciting event for the public who will be invited to attend all matches, free of charge. Organisers for this event are all current members of Queensland Veterans Cricket. This event is being sponsored by the Sunshine Coast Regional Council and supported by Visit Sunshine Coast.
